brake upgrade needed
i have a 95 wrx with standard brakes and was giving the car a bit of stick and after about 5 or 6 times of heave braking the brakes become very soft and even forcing my foot down the car just wouldnt stop.
the discs and pads are not old either
i take it this is why i always hear about the standard brakes being very poor?
anyway unless anyone thinks i have a problem im going to look for a decent set of calipers.
does anyone know the best brakes to fit? heard the later 4 pots are better.
not looking to spend a stupid amount of money. oh and my car has ABS that wont be a problem for changing calipers will it?
thanks for any help you can give

I've just fitted late model 4 pots with uprated pads to my 93 wrx and the braking ability is alot better than the 2 pots.
Pricewise you're looking at about £200 for calipers then obviously pads and discs try www.essexsubarubreakers.co.uk the website is limited but has their contact numbers. My mate has bought some for his 94 wrx for £285 from them.
Not too sure about the ABS but take it to your local subaru specialist and they should sort you out

If the pedals going soft then this is classic brake fade. If it was a pad problem the pedal would stay hard but the car wouldn't stop. So it's a fluid problem, there's either air in it (pedal would be soft all the time) or there's water in it which is boiling when the brakes get hot.
Bleed the brakes a lot with some new decent dot4 or dot5.1 fluid until you've cleared out all the existing fluid.
