As far as I'm aware the fronts will fit as long as your wheel is greater than 17"... rears you will have a problem with as you'll need to change the hub or fabricate a bracket... either way its not fun and to be honest its only the front brakes that you really need worry about.

53 plate disks will fit. The PCD changed in 05 when they revised the suspension and made it a slightly wider track (defined by the arch extensions on the rear).
It changed from 100mm to 114mm, but some have still used them and re-drilled the PCD to be 100mm.
Brackets are only needed for the rear's

if you get the discs from a pre 05 model they are the right PCD for a classic which is 5 x 100 , 05 onwards they changed to 5 x 114 , but someone like Godspeed can redrill the discs to suit if you buy a leter spec kit

Fronts fit with no problems, they bolt strieght on, Never heard opf anyone needing brackets!!!!
The rears use a different size handbrake assembly, You have three option, either change the rear hubs to newage STI (this may require STI Diff's and drive shafts etc), you can have brackets made and an 10mm thick hoop welded into the back of disc or you can not bother and use what you already have.
I bought a full set off ebay and sold the rears on.
The wheel size is not the only thing you need to worry about, it's the clearance behind the spokes and the caliper which is more important, PFF7's copies are okay but some other have problems.
As awd wrx has said, you can still fit post 05 disc's you just need to have them redrilled, takes about 20 minutes and cost about £30
I had the standard disc's grooved at the same time.
