Offset question
As the first of many questions no doubt, I need some advice please.
Picked up an 01 WRX Wagon on Saturday, and as I use my car for a fair bit of farm track driving, I'm thinking of changing the wheels for something with a bit more sidewall, and hopefully less rim damage.
I'm currently running Kei Racing Force 10's in 7.5 x 18 ET45, with 215/40/18. I was thinking of BK238's in 7 x 17, but they have a 47 or 50 offset listed. The 50 offset are 5 x 100 PCD only and I think probably intended for Scoobs, and the 47's 5x100 / 5x114 (10 hole.)
I'm running on Eibach sports springs, so the cars lowered 40mm ish?
I'm thinking the 47's will be a bit further in from the arch, and so less rubbage is likely. Or am I being dumb and need the 50's?
Any advice please

Could be wrong but the ET47's could be for STi Brembo calipers and ET50 for 4 pots.
Either way recommended tyres are usually 225/40/18's and 215/45/17's
