Swapping rear wheels to frone & visa versa
As above. I now have more tread on the rears than I have on the fronts, and driving back last night in the heavy rain on back roads, made the front feel like it was Aquaplaning at times, although there is still quite a bit of tread left.
Has anyone swapped theres about, and what did it handle like having more grip at the front and less at the back?? Did it make the car more tail happy in the wet??
I know that on a front wheel drive car, your meants to have more tread at the rear than the front, which I've always done when buying new tyres (but the slightly worn rear to the front, and put the new tyres on the rears) as advised by Michelin.
Is it a good idea ?

You should always try and even out your treadwear. Having one end bald and the other fully treaded is a recipe for an accident. Also change them from o/s to n/s if they're directional.

If not directional then that will be O.K.

Be careful for the first 100 miles or so if you do swap front to back, they need to scrub back in since usually there is different geometry between front and back.
