New 18" Alloys

Can i fit my new 18" wheels or do i need to get the geometry set up at the same time? Received my wheels today and i want to fit them asap bearing in mind i hardly do any mileage at the minute . Will it hurt if i fit them then get the geometry set up in the next couple of weeks.
