Default Which way does spring go on 4 pots

I;ve been cleaning the 4 pots out and can't remember which way the springy bit that goes on top of the pads and is held in place by the pad pins goes. I don't think it really matters but it might.

Thanks

Don't think it matters either, and I just had this dilemma when I put my 4 pots back on earlier on today. If you're talking about the big springy thing that vaguely holds the pads apart and hooks over both the pins, then the big bump end goes at the top. Or at least that's how I remembered it, and my brakes are working fine.

Doesn't make any difference, I fitted mine upside down about 7k ago and the dealer noticed at service and swapped them back the right way round.
No difference at all.
