Question Caliper Piston Stuck

Hi,I have just replaced the rear discs and pads on my MY96, the drivers side pads were 99.9999999999% worn and the passenger side 20% worn. It seems that the piston on the drivers side is stuck out, I have tried pushing it back but it just isn't interested. It is stuck out so far that even the pads with wear wont fit in and around the disc. So i'm kinda stuck, I have tried compressing it with a small clamp but think it is too flimsy as the clamp is warping rather than push th epistin backAnyone have any advice?CheersJJ

Wind them in? Using what, there is nothing to grip to or any grooves etc?

Am I going mad?

I've just battled with my front calipers. Mine were seized both sides and the wisdom I found on here persuaded me that if normal pedal pressure wasn't working them properly, no amount of hydraulic pressure from behind would. Your only option is to take them off the car, get them in a vice, attach mole grips to the bit you can get hold of and wriggle them around like hell to gradually get them out. Or clamp the piston top in a vice then bang at the caliper with a rubber mallet.
