Ferodo DS2500's or Pagid RS4.2-1 Black with Goodridge brakelines
Had both and they are very good pads, Pagid's are slightly noisey and dirty though but at least they stop the thing

I've also got a MY00 Classic T2000 and think the pads need replacing. The car is standard apart from exhaust. When I replace the standard Subaru pads want a better pad that will help to stop the car quicker but without having to change anything else on the braking system.

Just got a set of OMP road and track pads off ebay for 30 odd quid. Friction graph shows a 100-600C working range so I've got nothing to lose by trying them out. I make it a point of honour never to pay 'disc money' for a pair of pads. That's just silly for a road-driven car, even if I do drive fast.
I've used Ferodo DS2000s before which were very good, but dusty. And strangely enough, they were only £55 for a Clio, yet on a Scoob somehow you pay twice as much at least...
I've tried Mintex 1144s which lasted lap after lap of the Nurburgring, while everyone else's standard brakes were dead. Currently I think they're DS2500s on my 4-potted Scoob (previous owner put them on) but to be honest I'm not that impressed. They bite in the end, but aren't exactly confidence inspiring, and I'm also running Goodridge hoses and Motul 600 brake fluid, just changed a month ago.
So we'll see what the OMPs are like. I also looked at Mintex 'Xtreme' which are the new retail name for the 1144 compound, although it may not be quite up to scratch on a 1300kg Scoob. Ferodo 'DS Performance' are on special at £70 IIRC at Camskill at the moment. Presumably they're the new retail name for DS2000's?
