Default new to scoobys need some help re brakes

Hi just bought a 92 WRX and after squirtng around for a bit the brake pedal starting dropping straght to the floor on the first pump, then they worked ok on the second, I thought this might me master cylinder on way out, but after a little stint down the motorway everything seemed ok, and round town after this(not driving hard) the pedal is still fine with good pressure, I don't think I drove it so hard the fluid was thinning out, so what might this be, can anyone point me in the right direction as obviously this is a worry, and I don't fancy trying to drive the car hard to see of the brakes do the same thing
cheers
