Default Widening wheel track

I'm after new wheels on my MY05 WRX

At the mo' the wheels dont seem to fit the arch in terms of width (if that makes sense) it looks like I need a wider wheel??

Is this the ET that needs to be increased? The offset?

Cheers

Hi Trevor

The offset of the wheel is what determines how far from the hub the face of the wheel sits, the lower the offset, the further out the wheel sits.
What can be done to bring your wheels further out, filling the arches more is fitting spacers which in effect lowers the offset.
We can supply Eibach 8mm hubcentric spacers c/w longer studs to achieve the look you are after.

Hope this helps

Hi Keith
I cant find your offer?!- i reckon i need them out by about an inch! Is it a straight forward fit- especially if longer bolts have to be put on??
Cheers

fitted oz super legs on my 05 WRX for exactly the same reason.. 8x18 48et (offset) iirc 225/40's and they fill the arches very nicely. You'll also have to lower it as well for the full effect..:

Any ideas on what this will do to the handling?

Did you notice much difference?

Already had rear DL's and ARB so handling was considerably better than oem, however the lower profile/wider tyres added much needed weight to the steering IMHO (note the T1-R's initially felt very weird/poor, but after ~200 miles they came good). I then went for the remainder of Powerstations T25 setup (AST's ALK FARB inc full geometry)

Needless to say the handling is excellent and the ride from the AST's on their softest settings is not much different to OEM.
