Default Brake Problem

Hi Guys,

I have a problem with my brakes, when pulling to a halt my brakes squeal and then a cracking noise can be heard. As soon as the cracking noise can be heard the squealing stops. This only happens at low speed. The anti rattle strips on the callipers were on the wrong way round when I got the car, but Subaru sorted that over 4000 miles ago. Its a Uk 99 Turbo with standard brakes. The noise is coming from the passenger side of the car. Does anyone know what is wrong and how to fix it?

Cheers

Damo

possibly some old pad material/debris stuck in the calipers................ a good clean and re-grease will normally sort
