Question went to quik fit

just had new tyres and pads done at quick fit and my brake pedal felt like it went through the floor when i braked hard and there was little braking effect, also the pedal is spongy to the point it is scary . Is this just air in the system? lucky i got them done for free otherwise i d be real pissed.

Don't really know but if they've only changed the pads then no reason for air to be in the system as its just a matter of unclipping the old pads and clipping sthe new ones on. Also you shouldn't be breaking hard on new pads for a few hundred miles, they might feel wierd because they are not bedded in properly.

Or because kwik fit used the cheapest, nastiest brake pads they could find to push the profit margin up.
