MY01 Brake Upgrade

Sorry to repeat an old topic but I did not really find an aswer in this thread.
I have a standard MY01 at the momoment and I get the feeling that the brakes could do with just a bit more bite. I don't think it is becuase I'm a crap driver.
I might do the odd track day but not that much. Even if it a pad/Disc upgrade that works.. or do I have to spend heaps of money on a full brake kit.
Does any body have any comments on upgrades they may have done to a MY01.

I also have the same question. The stock brakes on my MY01 don't seem to be cutting it. However, I'm also running on a tight budget and was thinking of just some upgraded front discs and pads. Possible contenders are the Prodrive kit (which seems expensive) or Bremo Group N disks. Does anyone have any recommendations? what upgrade would provide the best price-performance?

VMAX,
I had the same feelings re my standard brakes, did the job but not particularly confidence inspiring. As I had already upgraded the suspension and power I thought it would be foolish to neglect this bit.
I'm lined up for an AP 6 pot upgrade via Scoobysport shortly. If you can hang around for a few weeks I'll give you some before and after feedback when I've tried them out.

As a company car I am forbidden from track days so I thought the AP/Brembo kits would be an overkill
I went for Scoobysports Group N+ upgrade and I can highly recomend it
Good value for money

Phil, how does your company know you've been on a track day ? You should see the things on my car my company doesn't know about

Thanks Phil, I have been looking at the Scoobysport option and it looked interesting. What did the upgrade consist of? Was it:
1. Front Group N+ Disks
2. Pads for 1.
3. Upgraded Brake hoses and fluid
If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost?
Cheers

Vmax,
I have found a setup of similar design to the AP, but of better quality and performance for a fraction of the price. I have sorted an unbelievable price for a group buy!! Just over £700 for a full ally caliper and disk setup. Have a look at the group buy post, in this section.
Cheers,
MS
