Here is an the email I received from AP Racing when I enquired about the kits they do for the STI. Hope it helps

AP Racing produce 2 types of front brake kit upgrade for the Impreza 2006 model, a Ø355 6-pot for 18” rims and a Ø362mm 6-pot for 19” rims.

Part # 18” version CP7040-1001R2: CG12.

Click on web link for full detail. http://www.apracing.com/roadcar/brakekit/data.asp

To check for wheel clearance issues print off brake installation profile by clicking on the word HERE in the wheel text. Print to A4 100%, check scale is correct, cut out dotted line, locate this template inside the wheel using spigot to centralise, look for +3mm caliper profile to inner wheel profile..

List £1384.83 + vat.

The rear kit will be available late June. It has been designed compliment the front kits and operates with the standard park brake equipment.

Part # CP7625-100R2:CG12

Kit uses a small-bore 4-pot caliper to maintain front /rear balance mounted to a Ø335x24mm disc with integral park brake drum.

List £914.00 + vat

Above kits have a red paint finish to the caliper, but a black option is available.

Ah right. TBH, I would assume that the 362's would not fit under 18's if AP claim they are for for 19's although you may be lucky to get away with it on the FF7's.

Would the 362 kit really offer any noticeable advantage over the 355 kit?

They both use 6 pot calipers and your only gaining an additional 7mm in diameter, unless the 362 kit has slightly wider discs perhaps??

Anyway, good luck!

If by any chance they do manage to fit let us know

I've got 330mm 6 pots with 18" PFF7s. Measured gap from outside of caliper to inside of wheel last night at 22mm (18mm where my balance weights are stuck on).

AP template for 330mm shows diametrical clearance needed as 185.5mm, so 185.5 + 22 gives 207.5mm available clearance for a PFF7.

AP template for 355mm disc requires 203.5mm, and 362 requires 206.5mm. So the 355 clearance is 4mm which is about the limit. 362 clearance would be 1mm (far too tight), so sorry 362 discs will not fit under 18" PFF7s.

Got to say the 330mm set up is fabulous for feel and stopping power, and I read somewhere on here that it is a better caliper than you get on the bigger set ups.

Cheers, Diccy.

I already have the AP330 kit on my car and I am more than satisfied but this is for a friend that wants the bigger available.
Today we checked the clearance and yes it's too tight - about 2mm - but they fit under the PFF7's, quite impressive as AP claims they are only for 19" wheels.
Anyway I ordered for him the brakes so will see!

He'll have to be careful where he sticks his balance weights.

I wonder why AP choose to make the 362 disc when there can't be any noticeable difference in use or appearance with only 3.5mm additional radius. Also the big discs 355/362x32mm must be much heavier than the 330x28mm disc (weighed mine at 8kg, std Brembo 330x30mm is 10kg) which may affect handling. Can you weigh the big discs when you get them.

Have fun.

I wouldn't expect the AP discs to weigh anymore than the stock Brembos TBH due to the 2 piece alloy bell construction helping to keep the weight down.

I used to have the Stotech 328mm 4pot kit on my CTR and those discs were actually lighter than the stock Brembo discs on there due to the floating disc 2 piece construction.
