Default How can you tell the difference between replicas & proper P-WRC1 Wheels

How can you tell the difference between replicas & proper OZ/Prodrive P-WRC1 Wheels?

will replicas have the prodrive logo stamped into the metal like in this pic below?

You are right
Only the genuine ones are embossed, this is the easiest way to tell them apart

The 18" version have prodrive embossed in between the spokes on the rim.
I dont think the 17" version have prodrive logo embossed.

im just in the middle of doing a deal for some 17 inch ones and they dont have 'prodrive' stamped into them.

so any other ways of telling if they replicas or real?

can anyone else confirm or deny whether the 17in ones have the 'prodrive' stamp for sure?

Here a picture of an original p1 alloy in 17"

Just to cause more confusion I purchased a set of 17" some time ago which came off a P1 & I am sure they never had the prodrive logo?

Better off asking on the P1 forum to be sure Rob

I've got these in 17's and they have Prodrive embossed on them in two places on each wheel
I also had these in 18's on my previous but 1 car and they were embossed also, I remember because I paid £275 for each wheels.
On my last car I bought a set of PFF7 Replicas for £480, no stamping, embossing or stickers of any sort.
I have seen lots of replicas and none have ever had the prodrive logos embossed

thx for all the info guys, spoke to prodrive direct a few days ago as well and they confirmed that all there wheels have the 'prodrive' logo embossed into them, so the 17in wheels i bought off ebay for £290 were replicas (and needed re-furbing), managed to get a refund today though from the guy. i just picked up some 18in gold p-wrc1 locally for £375 yesterday.
