Had MY00 in the dealer today, they lent me a 00 sport.
I've been told my front pads have 2000 miles left in them and the discs are slightly worn, the brakes on the sport were 10 times better than mine. The dealer says brakes change from car to car.
Got back in mine tonight mine the brakes feel very soggy, where the sports were sharp and felt like they could stop the car a whole lot quicker.
I've only ever driven my turbo so I don't know what to guage it against, surely my car having bigger discs and 4 pot's it should be at least the same as the sport? I would really expect them to be better in fact.
I feel I'm being spun a yarn here
What can I do though if the dealer says they are normal.
Any suggestions and comments would be very welcome.
Thanks
John

My MY00 brakes deteriorated quite badly when the pads were near to replacement. You don't tend to notice how bad they are until you drive other cars. I've just put Bremsport Group N Discs and Mintex 1155 pads on which has improved things (total cost under £200 ).
Cheers,
Ian.

If the pads are nearly worn out, this means that there is a bigger 'cushion' of fluid behind the piston in the caliper, the bigger the 'cushion' the softer the pedal!!!!!
So, new pads should mean a firmer pedal, if you try better fluid you might notice a difference aswell.
