Question My 02-03 Brake ducting

Hi

Came across this

http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1664

Went and had a fondle under the car (MY03 blobeye) and can feel the channels that these bits would fit over

So

Worth getting do you think? (wonder why they were not fitted)
Has anyone fitted them and if so where did you get the parts

Well did a search and found this
http://subaruproparts.com/product_in...roducts_id=337

looks like a bit of flatish plastic you could cut yourself
Does anyone have these on their motor and if so is there anything special about the end that fits against the front vent

ah tried this and failed !!
The part nos are for a bug eye and they dont fit on a blobeye ! Ended up using a flat thin sheet of perspex from B&Q.
Didnt notice any differnance at all, in fact one got smashed off when I hit a fox recently and not going to bother replacing it !

These were fitted as standard on my MY02 bugeye.

Based on the design, structural integrity, outlet location etc I really can't see them acheiving anything.

If you look at 'proper' brake cooling ducts they have far more focussed delivery of air than the OEM 'a little vent in the general direction of the brake disk'

I think there are much better things to spend money on!

The airstream hit the tires, so it´s a tirecooler :-)
