Default Pagid (blue) RS 4-2 brake pads - awesome

Just fitted to my AP Racing 4 pots and they are a marked improvement on the Ferodo DS2500s that were fitted previously.

Got them from Alyn at AS Performance - top guy

HI Terry, i use those pads on my 335mm godspeed kit for track use, damn fine pads, but i get a lot of crap on the discs, it'll be interesting to see if you get the same trouble, they are that god that my passenger usually ends up kind of stnding in the footwell so to speak!!

Only down side a bit squeely at low or parking speed, the rear being the main culprit! The front pads were damn tight to fit in to my brembos rear eezi peesy.

Have not found them to be dirty on my BDA slots and to honest cleaner than my Brembo pads. Though mine only been on road and no track at all.

As for stopping as already mentioned.

Hi Alyn

Yes mate, all fitted perfectly - the leaking seal was completely shot. The brakes are now so good that it's frightenning, - especially without ABS in the RA

Will try them out properly tomorrow at Bruntingthorpe

Cheers again Alyn and I'll email you those details soon aswell.

This may be down to the use you put them to. It may be the pads are getting too hot if you do lots of heavy braking. Might be worth investigating slightly harder pads, maybe the RS-15 or something like that

I have the Blue pads from alyn too in the front of my stock Sti v3 4 pots, so much better than the Green Stuff 'stuff'.
However:

I have abs and look at the clip under braking:

Any thoughts?

The abs light comes on the dash after and stays on for ages (minutes)

Graham, do you have the same pads in the rear or standard oe?

Looks like too much braking effect on the fronts.

I had a similar effect with my setup, with 4 pot brembo fronts and standard singlepot rears. The abs was more active when braking hard. I then upgraded the rears to 2 pots and larger discs, the car brakes flatter and upto press no more abs intervention.

Rears are Green Stuff as Pagid Blue not available for the stock Sti v3.

There is NO abs chatter at all under those circumstances or on the road.

Don't think i've got an ABS anyway!
Brakes have always been a bit strange on this car....

Should give me better times on the hill anyway.

Are you at Gurston this weekend?

Graham.
