Brake problem
I have got a 04sti with original brakes and a few days ago it made a very loud creaking noise under the front of the car when i used the brakes
Then the next time i took the car out the noise had gone but the abs & brake system warning light had come on and my abs was not working.
So i took it to the garage and they came up with a fault code and said the control unit is faulty but as this has only happend once they do not need to replace it.
Is this right or should i demand they replace it.
cheers Lee

if it keeps coming on then get it replaced providing it's the same fault code of course, but if it's only come on once then it might not be anything and as they generally don't give problems then just keep an eye on it for the noise or the lights.

ou can demand, chances are, they will take your car off you for half a day, give you it back and tell you its done.
Not really any help to you though, second thoughts, take it back in a week, tell them the creeking noise is still there intermitantly(sp) and then demand they replace it and you want to see the old part
