Fitting 4 Pot brakes on a V4 STi?
(Please4 excuse n00b questions - not mechanically minded here!)
Have expressed interest in some 4 pot brakes off an STi someone is breaking up. I currently have a 1998R STi v4 that, I believe, has 2 pot brakes. So my questions are as follows:
Does my v4 definately have 2 pots?
Would I see much benefit swapping to 4 pots?
How easy are they to change?
Do I just need the calipers, or do I have to change the disks as well, or do I need a variety of extra bits and pieces to do the job?
Cheers guys

V4 sti should have four pots already..... do the calipers have 'SUBARU' on them??? if they do, they are four pots.... also, what year is the sti the brakes are coming off...?? if it's a newage, they will be the bigger brembos, which may fit your car, depending on what wheels you have....??

Your version 4 will have std 4 pot fitted as std
I have already swapped to newage STi Brembo's on my STi 4 and you will definitely notice the difference
The swap i easy to do! straight swap no brackets or anything needed, make sure you get the Brembo bolts as they have a different thread to the std calipers.
You will need the disc's as well!!
BUT!!! you will need a set of wheels that will clear the Brembo's like newage wheels or PFF 7's

Wheels should be ok, but budget isn't, hence why I was looking at a cheap upgrade! Calipers do indeed have subaru on them so I'm guessing they are 4 pots. Cheers for the help chaps, I shall slink back off in to a dark corner for now
