Don't bother with rip off dealer prices.

Standard 4 pot 'SUBARU' calipers up front and I think sliding on the rears.

Ring http://www.asperformance.com/, posts on here as stockcar and he'll sort you out decent pads, such as ferodo/Pagids for much less.
Probably get Goodridge brakelines and Motul 5.1 as well as pads for less from him.

Question

Can anybody tell me exactly what pads I should be getting for a P1, both front and back (standard brakes)?

They will be getting moderate (and occasionally heavy) road use; any recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

Pagid RS4-2-1 are the best in my opinion but pricey.

Ferodo DS2500 seem to get the next best rating from the many threads on here. Mintex M1155 are a fairly severe pad, great for track days no doubt, but are they OK from cold?

So that's compound. In terms of part numbers then each manufacturer will have a different part number. Ring a reputable dealer and tell him it's a P1 and has the 4 pot standard calipers and he should know what size and shape of pad you need. For Pagids I'd talk to Performance Braking in Monmouth.

I can vouch for asperformance. Ordered my DS2500's on Friday and they arrived today, Monday.

Alyn was very helpful and explained about the "bogus" DS2000's, which are in reality DFP's, red backing plate. I wondered why they faded..........

Just need to find some shims now, hopefully my Subaru dealer can sort something out.
