Default Legacy spec B tyres

Just put my spec b through a field due to MASSIVE understeer and full 4 wheel slide

OEM tyres are bridgestone potenza 215/45/ R18 (with 12k miles on them)

I was advised when I bought the vehicle (by the dealer!) to change the tyres if I intended to push the car. Obviously I ignored this advice (being a bloke) ... until now ....

Any suggestions? Are the Potenzas as bad as advised?

What would anyone suggest as suitable replacements?

Thanks

I thought they would have been 225/40/18 but they are are probably going for a slightly larger sidewall for comfort on the leggy.

Anyway you won't go wrong with Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's

Hi, I've been through loads of tyres and my recommendations are:
Falken 912 - good tyre. Good grip. OK for feedback. reasonable for wear.
Michelin Exalto PE2: Amazing. Nothing compares. Very expensive but in the last 120,000 miles I have done, (Dunlop SP Sport Fast response / Falken 912 / Yokohama Advan A03 / PE2) the Exaltos are the mutts nuts on the 3 cars I have: Legacy Spec B 2005 manual/ Ignis Sport 2005/ BMW 530d Touring 2000.

Vreddies, the sessanta's are well priced and very good and I would go with the 225/40/18 as those should be 225's on there afaik.
