rear discs

rear discs
without me having to go out and take the wheels off, what kind of discs will any my93 have on the rear?

Just a guess but probably 266mm solid disc.

if its MY93 then presumablt its a JDM spec WRX??
if thats the case 266mm vented..................only the early UK cars had 266mm solid discs

So, do you use the same pads on both, or are the pads for vented different from solid disks. and yes upon closer inspection they are vented.

early cars use the same pad shape, BUT different caliper to accomodate the differing disc widths.................

sorry to hi-jack the thread, anyone know if the handbrake runs off shoes on the same model?
Been tryin to find shoes but not having much luck?

the shoes are inside the rear disc, the centre assembly acts as a "drum"..........................
identical type between the 2 models listed...............

yeah, thought that alyn but all I can find is 96+ for shoes.....

well all std UK turbo or WRX cars use the same 170mm shoes so shouldn't be an issue, the original leggy turbo's used the same also..................

I have just upgraded my front brakes. what doses anyone suggest i do to the rear? pad's or both?
The Front are Drilled and grooved with Redstuff pads.

Best to keep the same pad compound front and rear. If the fronts stop better you'll find the car pitches even more and can squirm under heavy braking.
