18X8 too big for classic?
I really want a set of 18" Compomotive MOs and have read on SNet that 18x8 is too big for a classic Impreza and will have a negative effect on handling.
However all the adverts I've seen either new or 2nd hand all show the 18s as being 8 inches wide.
Does anyone know if you can get 18x7.5 Compomotive MOs?
Thanks

Not sure on the size (try calling Alyn at AS Performance - 01914103770)
But they are not light wheels (very strong though) Shame really as they look good, but I wouldn't be able to live with the effects on the handling.

Im not sure if Compomotive do a 7.5xx18 MO's as we dont deal with them.
We have however fitted 8.0x18 wheels on a classic Impreza before. You have to use either a 215/35/18 or 225/35/18 tyres.
The 215/35/18 tyre looks a little stretched on a 8" rim but reduces a bit of catching
The 225/35/18 tyre is spot on for a 8" rim but can catch.
The 8.0x18" wheels are normally ok on a std height Scooby, its when you lower the car most of the catching occurs !!
Of corse it all depends on what the offsett of the MO's are !!
I hope this helps
