Default Eagle F1 or Toyo T1R?

Goodyear Eagle F1 XL or Toyo T1R for a WR1?

What's the current thinking on the differences between the 2 tyres? Has anyone had both to compare?

Would like to know myself,

I have Toyo T1-R tyres on my Scooby, and I really do rate them, they are excellent in the wet,and I'm about to change my tyres at the moment, But I have also heard Goodyear F1's are supposed to be really good, so I would like to hear how people rate the 2 before I go out and get some more tyres.

Would like to try the F1's, but the Toyo's have been supurb. Anybody else tried these two tyres.

Will look much better, especially at the front where the gap between tyre and wheel arch is more prominent. Prodrive springs have been great so far, much flatter planted ride. However, you may discover small rattles that weren't there before from inside the car due to the slightly harder ride.

How much are you paying John, if you don't mind..?

Also 53WRX; how much did your PD springs cost and how much drop did you get, any before and after pics..?

Just fittes soome 18" OZ's to my 05WRX and it needs the spring kit to finnish the job off nicely. Just don't tell the wife FFS..! Need new pads and oil change first mind... MONEY, MONEY, MONEY..!

Jason car looks sweet, Wheels have made a big differance to the way the car looks..

I bought the Coilovers from Revolution for £299, They come of there demo car. And Ive got Powerstation fitting them and a geometry set-up for £220.

Im running out of things to put on my car now.

Having run on both I would say that the F1s are slightly better, but by a very small margin.

I am looking to have a new set of tyres fitted to my wrx 03 in the next week or two am planning to have f1,s fitted just a little concerned about the number of miles i will get from them as i do 20k a year alot of this is m way with "spirited " weekend stints.

Any advice would be welcomed by the way the last 2 sets of tyres i have had have been bridgestone re 050 and re070

I get around 18-20k from F1s with that sort of mileage, maybe more back-road stuff in the week. Stock suspension shouldn't wear the inside edges as much as mine. Swap front/back regularly to even wear.
Suggest standard pressures in winter and slightly higher is summer.

If you get F1s try for 87 rated or above, preferably XLs.

My T1-R's felt very weird at first and I though I'd made a big mistake.. however, having put a 100 miles or so on them they're starting to feel a lot better..

I know you have to give new tyres a few hundred miles to scrub in, iirc due to a release agent from the molding process..

BTW can't say they've effected the ride either (215/45 17 to 225/40 18) which is good. I suppose it's going from the stiffer RE050's in 17 to the softer Toyo's..? Worth considering when going for a lower profile in a bigger size wheel.
