Default tyre question

have a quick question

am mate of mine can get hold of some Falken ZE512 tyres would these be ok on my uk spec turbo or is it a no go

You can get some Toyo T1-S/T1-R's for not a lot more money. 16/17 tyres will set you back between £300-£350. A far better option in my opinion, and not that expensive either.

had these on a wrx a while back,good in the dry,Dont expect anything special when it rains though,they dont inspire much confidence when the going gets tough,summer tyre i think

Exactly, the worst part of a car to scrimp on, is the tyres. They are cheap for a reason. Just got rid of some cheapo tyres on my g/f's micra (fitted when we bought it 7 months ago). Utter ****e, and they still had 4-5mm of tread remaining.They just wanted to go straight on at any more than 5mph at a rnd-abt in the wet. Put some nice Michilen Energy's on and the difference is night and day!

last falkens i had were on a 106gti(never again)as said above crap in the wet remember bk end stepping out half way round an island in a big way-werent expectin it in a fwd car-bloke in a vr6 id just passed came by clapping (only doin about 50)funny after but not at the time thought i were gonna bin it-wouldnt entertain em on a scooby in fact had budget tyres that have been better.
