put me straight
hi every one and merry christmas i have just bought a 03 impreza sport this is my first subaru and i must say i love it i just have one problem when i start it it sounds like a transit van, it takes about 3 seconds of the starter motor turning the engine over before she starts is this just the impreza way or have i got a problem, i have had it to a subaru dealer and they cant see a problem but with it been still under warranty i dont know if i beleave him thanks j.p

I have an Sti v3, 1997 and it behaves like that hot or cold starting, churn churn for about 3 secs then catches and runs.
Rest of the engine behaviour is great, just a bit of a dodgy start.
Depends where you are, but try to get it to a real specialist for an opinion; could save you some worry.
