Standard Pads 80% Worn........
Was told at my 10K service last Wednesday that my front pads are 80% worn but the discs are fine.
What are peoples reccomendations of a decent pad to run with standard discs ??
Cheers Mark

Ferodo DS2000 for fast road and occasional track, good bite hot or cold and not too mucky, can squeal a little when new.
Ferodo DS2500 for regular track users, can be scary when cold but awesome when hot.
Mintex 1144 for fast road, can be very dusty.
Mintex 1155 for regular track.
Pagid RS4.2.1 black, superb all round but very expensive over the others.
EBC Red Ceramics for people who like to change their pads regularly
I have the DS2000 which have been superb in every respect except the initial bit of squealing and for £90 you can't grumble. DIY job to fit in under 30 minutes for both sides. they may have now been rebranded with the "Ferodo Performance" name and some different numbers, so check with the supplier. Scoobyclinic or AS Performance are good places to start.

Got DS2500 all round with std discs on MY03STi. Absolutely NO problem when cold. They work great at any temperature and wear rates are low on both pad and disc. Can be a bit dusty.
Even put DS2500 in the front of G/Fs Fiesta with good results on 240 mm solid discs.
Wouldn't use anything else.
Cheers, Diccy.
