Question Nankang NS2 Tyres V87 - Any views???

I had a flat tyre on Friday, and took the front passenger side wheel to the 'tyre specialists'. They said there was no pucture but it seems that because the tyre is quite old (3+ years) it seems that the seal is corroding from inside which sticks to the rim.

They said they were not willing to repair it as the tread is still legal but getting to borderline, the others are obviously also worn but still legal.

I don't do much mileage nor drive how a scooby really should be driven...

For £50 each (+ labour etc) I thought I may aswell change all the tyres to the Nankang NS2's. They are made by Yokohama apparently...

Are these tyres okay (205/50/16) for a Classic 1995 WRX original alloys?

personally i wouldnt put these on a car. cheap and nasty. a 260bhp car needs a decent set of tyres. for a few extra pounds you could have hd toyos, a much better tyre all round, and well respected by the drivers on here.

i bought a nice set of alloys for my wifes new golf and penny pinched on the tyres and bought nankang ns1s. they never inspired confidence in the dry and certainly not in the wet. changed them after 4000 miles to goodyear eagles, the difference was significant.

you will find a lot of people buy these tyres because they are cheap, but if you wanted to save money then could i respectfully suggest that an impreza is not the car for you. running and servicing costs are high, which i suppose you should expect from a performance car

I hear what you are saying, but I have had NS1 Nankang tyres on my WRX for over 3 years and they have been good to me; like I say I don't drive it like it should be 'driven'.

My scenario is either replacing one worn tyre and having 3 or one odd. Also the others may need changing also... My tyres have roughly done 5500 miles... but I was also thinking of selling my classic.

Now I have decided not to until after the cold winter is over. Brrr...
