Unhappy Braking Problems

Hi Guys,

I have recently upgrated the brakes on my Sti V2 to four pots (reconditioned from API), Group N disks by TSL, and ferodo pads.

Since I fitted the brakes I have noticed that they lock up very easily...and believe me I had some very scary moments. Also when they lock up the car pulles to the right.

Does anybody else without ABS has similar problem. Is there a solution or something I can do.

Thank you in advance.

what pads exactly are they??

you shouldn't have any major issues, does one wheel get hotter than the other??

The pads are DS2500 and I forgot to mention that also the rear disks were replaced with new OEM disks and DS2500 pads.

I feel very frustrated as they do not feel as good as I expected. In fact I believe that the original 2pot calipers were better and they never locked up.

if they pull to the right it could mean that the left brake is underperforming

certainly something wrong, possibly in the fitting or bleeding thro' of the system/components??

are the rear calipers "free" to slide, etc. bled up properly?? could well be the rears not working correctly overloading the front brakes??

I had TSL to check the brakes last week and they said that they were ok. On the other hand I am still not convinced and I will probably have a different garage to check them.
I might pop down to David at APi to check the calipers as well in case they are sticky or something.

I was thinking that even if the alignment is not perfect, the car shouldn't pull that much to the right.

Anyway, thank you very much for the comments guys.
