Default Mixing pads ?

Just changed 2 pot front calipers for 4 pot ones and put ebc redstuff ceramic pads in.Fitted s/steel braided hoses all round. What i'd like answered is this;the rear brakes are o/e pads as far as i'm aware with plenty of wear left on them,do i need to change them to redstuff pads to match the front or as the rear brakes don't do too much anyway can i leave them and replace with redstuff when they are worn out ?

I left mine standard at the rear and the braking was fine, although I have to admit it was better when I eventually changed the rears as well. Pad life not good though, about 7000 miles front and about 18000 rear on redstuff.

low mileage seems to be a frequent complaint........................

replied to your PM, but basically some get away with std stuff - some don't

personally i would always try and match the pad characteristics front and rear
