EBC Brake discs & Pads
I used to have this setup on my old focus...
What are the Turbo groove discs an redstuff pads like as a setup on a Scooby
are they ok and do they give out less dust than the oe discs and pads?
Im looking at changing to the full setup all 4 Turbo groove discs & redstuff pads on my 02 STI type UK..
Anyone running this combination or can give me good or bad points on this setup?
cheers
Andy

I run the following:
Front: turbo groove with redstuff ceramic
rear: Redstuff ceramic pads only (I'll be upgrading the rear discs when they wear out)
5.1 fluid and goodridge hoses all round
I think the OEM pads give you a slightly better initial bite, but the Red stuffs are more consistant under hard strain. I've taken my car back to the Isle of Man for some serious abuse on county lanes and never had any fade. Can't comment on whether they are good for track as well.
You will get some groaning noises from them under hard braking along with some vibration on the steering wheel. You also get a fluttering noise from them when your driving along normally. I think this is the air moving between the grooves and the caliper. Despite these anoyances, they are worth it.
Forgot to say the dust isn't bad either.

I second what Anders says.
Got the same setup (apart from rear pads) on my sti 4. The standard setup would fade in just one hard stop. These brakes just do not fade at all! Also, the fact that i'm not forever cleaning wheels is an added bonus!
