stainless steel braided brake lines
Is it worth getting the above fitted to the front if you only have standard discs? Will they make much of a difference? Been offered some for free so want to know if its worth getting them fitted.
I've got some but they came with my Brembos - so can't tell what difference they actually make. However, I did here that you need to put them on all 4 wheels otherwise the rear brake lines carry on "expanding" so you don't get the full benefit. Not sure if this is true though???

Whether you have standard or uprated discs though is irrelevant -- braided hoses are a popular upgrade as high quality hoses reinforced with stainless steel overbraid are less likely to expand or burst under braking, even in extreme conditions. Another plus is the increased firmness of the brake pedal, giving a much more positive braking feel to the driver.
Hope this helps.
