Default Locking wheel nuts

i need some locking wheel nuts for my 55 wrx EU import.

i had some on my old beemer, which lasted only about three years before the cover rusted onto the nuts, and was a pain in the *** to get off.

there were a decent brand too and cost £25 about 5 years ago, coming with some weird plastic tool to get the caps off and the nut tool was round with three prongs to fit into the nut.

are there any that don't rust that people recommend?

In my opinion i think locking nuts are a waste of money.
I recently hade the misfortune of a flat and surprise surprise the previous owner had mislaid the locking nut key. Took car to local fitters and they had the wheels off in no time. Simply hammer a socket over the top of the locking nut and hey presto off come the wheels. Speaking to the owner he advised me i was wasting my cash replacing the locking nuts as the thieves use the same methods as they did. One socket and a bloody big hammer.
I reackon if the want your wheels they will have them.
Each to their own though

I got my 55 plate euro import 4 weeks ago.

I ordered a set of McGards from www.performancesubaru.co.uk £25.

They look good quality but they're about 1/2" longer than the standard wheel nuts and look sh**e when they're on.

£15 and you can have em!!!!!!!!!

As Richie says; dealers sell McGards for just over half the price that Halfords do. Make sure that you get the later style locks which incorporate a spinner. Cheaper locking nuts may look a little better but nothings as secure as McGards.

Having changed many wheels locked on or key misplaced, the socket method works every time. Think simple, if we can do it the thiefs can do it.

All you can stop is the we ******* who are as thick as **** in the neck of a bottle and not been shown the socket trick. Monkey see monkey do.

dont get mcguards! me and 3 other friends have had trouble with mcguards!

1, the key breaks too easily
2, the heat from the brakes heat up the studs differently from the mcguards so they weld themselves to the studs
3, the locking nuts pattern break off too easily

stay away from the mcguards!!!!!!!!!!!
