Question Trackday Brake Pads?

I have currently tried both the Ferodo DS2500 & Pagid RS4-2-1 pads as everyday pads + the odd track day. I have been happy with the braking performance of both - but neither last long on the track and have both left deposits on the discs.. Giving a lot of vibration for quite some time afterwards until the discs clean up. Also neither of the pads have lasted too long.. I realise grooved discs will wear the pads faster - but was hoping for better wear than this:
i.e Hullavington trackday - new set of DS2500s the w/e before. 100 miles on track and there is probably about 1/3 ( or less ) of the pad meterial left.

So - Any recommendations for a better track day pad ( in terms of no vibration / longer life )? I dont mind having to change the pad just for track use.

Car is a MY00 with std size grooved discs.

Last w/e of July, I was at the Nurburgring. My car was fitted with the latest Yellowstuff compound 1793 front and rear.

I suffered no fade what so ever.
I did 39 laps that w/e.
I estimate my best lap time to be around 9 minutes.
On circuit, there are at least 3 points where I was stopping hard from 120 / 130mph+, again no fade.
Approx wear is about 2 to 2.5mm.
Ring miles approx 530.
There and back 900.

I would recommend them as I have used them!

You could try the next level of Pagid pads (Greys).

Thanks guys - will give the Yellowstuff a try then..

BuckRogers - was that with EBC turbogrooved discs too ? Just wondered as I have these on the front at the mo.. and wondered if perhaps the wider slots in the rotors was perhaps causing more wear.

Yellow are endurance pads so longer life......Keep an eye on your discs though. You cant have it all ways.

True - but seems more cost effective to wear out the discs than that amount of pad wear! After all most top brand pads are about the same price as a set of grooved discs !

Cheers
