Ray that must have been cheaper than buying 4 Toyo tyres then having them fitted and balanced I remember watching the group buy at the time
I remember a few asked about 18's and at the time and none were available do you know if they have started doing them in 18's as yet ??

Thanks
Simon

Hi Simon

I remember seeing the other day some Toyo tyres were going for £300 for four

I'm not sure if they are doing 18" but i think I've seen some here on SN. i could be wrong.

Give Midland wheels a call and sort out a new GB for 18" Rota wheels

Thanks Ray
£300 !!! that's a massive saving...
I suppose it's helped with the TS-1's are they the new one's out ?? that may help deflate the price of the T whatever the other model number was lol
It still works out that you all had a set of alloys for £175

It's going to be next year before I can even think about alloys at the moment I'm afraid, but I'm certainly going to consider these and give Midland a call when I am ready.

How are the Rota wheels weight wise? I'm planning on getting soem lightweight jap style (can't afford Volk rims, can anyone?) wheels next year and Rota was on the list to consider. I think Banzai said they were quite light.

Japanese Performance Magazine are using them on their Project RA and they said they are every bit as light as OZ alloys, but for a fraction of the cost!

Maybe we should start another Group buy on these considering how successful the last one was!

Anybody interested?

I'd love to mate. But not right now. Springtime - definetly.

I remember the Jap performance article now, and I think Banzai put them on the yellow civic they're giving away too. Two thumbs up then.

17" ROTA Torque here

Had them for over a year and no problems. I want to get 18s and if my budget doesn't stretch to compomotive MOs then it'll be 18 Tarmac 2s probably.

Question

Just been offered 18" Rota Tarmac 2 with Toyo Proxes for £795 from Turrif Tyres

or

The same wheels with Goodyear F1's for the same price from Rare Rims.

Both include postage and packaging and wheel nuts and center caps etc.

Whats the better deal?
