Default Which 17" wheels DEFINITELY fit over AP 6 pots?

Ok I know that Team Dynamics Pro Race 1s fit as I have a set. And I know that O.Z P1 wheels don't (see my General For sale thread here )

Anyone tell me what other wheels fit...? Pro Race 1s are discontinued and I am told that the 1.2 and 2 models don't fit. Am going to TSL tomorrow morning to see if Ultralite A-Tecs will, just keen to see if there are any other options (don't want to go to 18s due to cost of tyres, I shred them quickly on track days).

Thanks in advance!

Presume you mean the AP racing 6 pot kit with 330mm disc and CP5570 caliper? There are other AP Racing 6 pot kits with 355mm and 362mm discs and CP7040 calipers, sure these wouldn't fit any 17" wheel.

I've got the 330mm CP5570 caliper kit and it definetely fits under the standard STi wheel, that's all I can say as that's all I've tried. AP Racing list an 8J x 17" Raceline but no idea what wheel that is. You can download a template from here and try that in any wheel. If the template fits in the wheel then the wheel fits over the brakes.

If you can't work out how print a sheet of paper, cut out the template and try it inside your wheel then I hope you'll be paying someone else to bolt your new brakes on the car.....

Well in the end I went for Ultralite A-tec 17s from TSL. They fit but not much clearance at the top of the caliper.

Now I just need to sell the P1 rims.

Ditto the tightness!! .... both at the edges of the calipers and between the fronts of the calipers and the backs of the spokes of the wheels!

But they JUST fit under my RB5 Speedlines!

Tasberley, what make of discs do you have??

So Tasberley, is this the 355 kit you have under 17's. The 355 kit is £150 cheaper than the smaller 330 kit, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't fit my wrx 17's.

Thanks for that mate .... thats exactly the same kit as I have!

Ive been looking recently at the 18" version of your gorgeous wheels (dont want to pay Prodrives/Subarus ridiculous prices) but was worried that they might not fit!! (between the front of the caliper and the back of the wheel spoke anyway) .... looks like they will now!

Thanks again!

I got a set of the latest 17" x 8J Sti's [2005] "as new" shod with Potenzas RE070 225/45/17, please note the PCD is 114mm not the usual 100mm as Subaru have just changed this on all 2005 onwards STi's but these will go over any caliper. any offers?????

Bit late for this thread but AP 6 pots and 330mm discs DO fit under the standard 17" P1 alloys - I know cos I had them on

Tight fit though only about 3mm between the weights and the caliper.
