What if ?

I was looking at going down the 18" Prodrive wheel route to be told Michelin Pilot Sport PS-2's are in back order and no idea when they will be availabkle again. Also What a price !!!!! nearly twice the price of the Bridgestone REO's on my MY05 STI PPP.

So here's the thing.....if I stay on 17" wheels and use a different tyre, which is best as an alternative on my car that will be better than the Bridgstones ?
