Default is this Boll*cks ?

I have been told I can't change only 2 tyres if there is more than 4mm difference in tread or the diff will be damaged by the front and rear wheels running at different speeds for long periods. Each time I need to replace tyres I must do all 4 at the same time............?

It was certainly true if you drove a four wheel drive Vauxhall Cavalier/Calibre. It doesnt really apply to an Impreza, although rotating the tyres isnt a bad idea...

I feel so confident about everything you say pslewis (NOT !), only joking, love the oil change story by the way....fantastic !

I thought it was a sales scam as it was a tyre fitter that said it. Glad to know I wont wreck the diff as I recon my front's will be worn out 1000 miles before the rears, that way a I can split the cost over 2 months.
