My car has 185/55/15 tyres on it. Apparently that particular size is a bit of a weird uncommon size ive been told by quickfit so they are actually more expensive than 195/50/15 even though they are smaller. Now I’ve been looking on Mytyres.co.uk and for some proxe T1-S’s the 185/55/15 come out 15quid a tyre more than the 195/50/15.

Can you see where I’m heading hear??

Would the 195’s fit onto my wheels even though they only came with 185’s on??

 

Get the 195 50 15's. No question. Had the same thing on my old 205GTI about 10 years ago now! Not much in them but 195's look a tad squatter, ride flatter and grip better. Most profiles that end in 5 are expensive.
