Replacing rear discs/pads - sheared bolt & hand brake problems :(
Managed to shear the lower rear caliper bolt on my Impreza. Thankfully I realised what had happened and managed to ease it out with leaving the thread in the hub.
Will a local motor factors carry such a bolt? Tried Halfrauds but I may as well have been asking for a tuna sandwich the use they are!!!
2nd problem I'm more concerned about is the handbrake adjustment wheel. I' managed to slacken it off in order to replace the discs but I'm not sure how to adjust them back correctly.
If its wrong am I right in saying I'll have either no handbrake or the shoes to clse to the disc hub and lots of smoke coming from the rear of the car?
I've got handbrake action, what I'm worried about is to much and it'll bugger the shoes up - and lots of smoke.
How do I adjust them correctly?
Many thanks

Did a similar thing myself, ended up having to order an new bolt, locking pin and rubber seal kit form a dealer. Not cheap but still atleast I did not have to buy an whole new caliper.
