O.k everyone.
After jap show and looking at my tyres, they are slicks, i mean not a bit of tread left.

personly i liked the Toyos that i had on my FTO last, but they were a bit soft, they were the T1-R's i think, the new side wall on them...
Not had mine long enough to really see what the tyres are like on my new one, but the origional bridgesones seem good...
Failing that, on my classic, i had P-Zero's on, and they were great alround
Hope that is of some help to you mate

I am running Toyo's new T1-R's. I am very happy with the performance...very good in both the dry and wet. Got them at a good price from www.camskill.co.uk

Im trying the Eagle F1 GSD3's on the road at the moment and dunlop SP sport Race for the track.
With your split of road / track miles you need a spare set of rims. Will work out cheaper in the long run.

My Scoob started on a set of Bridgestone RE050's (Original Equipment), and at a mere 16K I was in need of a some new tyres and so bought the much vaunted Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's (which lasted 22K and although had lees ouright dry grip when compared to the Bridgestones - were excellent allrounders and stunning in the wet)!
GS - Much like you I do 18K per annum and so I wanted something good (price wasn't an issue) so I've just taken the plunge and bought a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 2's and I'm seriously impressed! They have a semi slick outer shoulder which certainly generates much more dry grip than the Goodyears and I have so far found it impossible to "fold" the edge of the (very square) sidewall under max cornering! I haven't yet seen any rain to test them in it - but looking at the inner part of the tread pattern they should be good!
Good luck!
