The time has come (50k miles) for me to replace the brakes on my MY01 WRX(PPP - Prodrive suspension - 18" wheels) and I am looking for advice on what to replace them with.

No idea what the cost of standard Subaru replacements are, but have been frightened by the cost of some of the AP kits - plus I have to get someone to fit them (the days of me crawling about under cars has long gone !!)

Any recommendations on kits and companies who fit them in the Surrey/Hants area will be appreciated.

What about the Godspeed 335mm kit ? they use a 335mm 2 piece disc and bell , and fitting kit with larger than standard pads that retains your standard 4 pot calipers , as good as an AP kit without the costs , see www.godspeedbrakes.co.uk , £625 plus P&P

What he ^ said! I and plenty of other have this kit, and if you're not gonna be spending a lot of time on track, then they're fine!!

Hey Fox - im looking forward to the 50000 service on my MY01 WRX in Dec. It'll be a dear one no doubt!!!

I have just bought some new discs and pads as part of the Ian Godney group buy - my intention being to fit them myself (probably a mistake but hey ive got 5 months )

Might be worth a look - let me know how much the service comes to
