Question Avon ZZ3's or Toyo's?

Looking to replace my front tyres (front wheel drive).
Currently running Avon ZZ3's allround, but can get Toyo's slightly cheaper.

My Avon's have lasted 15k, yet not on a scoob - a fiesta! :P
Here if interested: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...t/DSCN0550.jpg

I've been quoted £70 per tyre for the Toyo's all in and about £80 for the ZZ3's. 205/40/17.

Sound a fair price?
Which are "better"?

Toyo definately, gripwise. They may not last as long though.

Really? I beg to differ, I prefer the ZZ3's to the T1-S, wet and dry. Never tried the T1-R

Don't think the car is ever pushed in the wet - learning from bad experiences.
Found my Avon's always offered enough in the dry for the force going through them.
Slightly more expensive but will match my rear - think i'm gonna be boring and go for the ZZ3's depending on further response.

Thanks all.

I have been using Avon ZZ3 s on my sti5 for four months now and cannot praise them enough. They have fantastic grip in the dry and very good grip in the wet and on damp roads.

Depends on your driving style, how fast and where etc, I fitted Kuhmo tyres on my
scoob at £40 each and they were excellent, at fast road speed and in the wet,
Excellent value. check them out.
