just put some 4 pots on and thay do not work pumped 1/2 pint through and the pedal just go to the floor

stupid question, but do you have the bleed nipples at the top of the calipers??
they should be pointing skywards and will give the symptoms you describe if pointing down??

big thanks yes the nippels are on the bottom just pumped 1lt through and it cost me £10
it all makes sense now all the air's at the top i just picked one up and fitted it
off to pick up a new 05 sti at 11am
