I have seen them fitted to my friends old car which has now been sold.
The car was lowered slighty but not sure of the full specs/drop.
I did have a quick test drive but not canning it, I never heard or felt any rubbing issues with the rears. The steering did feel slighty heavier than normal but not that much.
I just waiting for some part worns in 225/45/17 which should turn up next week which I will be trying on my car.

Mikee. What width wheels you planing on using them on? Do you think they'll make a difference over the 215/40s?

I put sti7 225 45 17's on my '03 wrx (I know its diff set up) it wasn't happy at all, lots of tramlining. I would test before buying, you may need a different profile.

bob, 7.5'' rays, im on 215/40/17 at moment and thought it might help in making gearing a bit longer, going to go with 215/45/17 as 225's might spoil the drive.

Mikee, I tried my RE070s on the track car last week- 225 45 17s- apart from looking massive they wouldn't clear the suspension- not just rubbing, more like trying to drive with the handbrake up tight.

this may have been my coilovers catching on the inside, but definately try before you buy matey.

I run 215 40 17s on 7J Superleggeras. No problem. I just tried 225 45 17s on 7.5J rims and there was a lot of rubbing front and rear. On Eibach springs. Deeply gouged the sidewall on one of the rear tyres after only a four mile test drive on some twisties. Will have to replace the tyre for the guys that kindly loaned them to me.
