Default Jacking it up

Not sure in the right thread but.....

Can anyone give advice as to where trolly jack points are for the front and rear of new age MY53 ?

Ideally would like to jack the whole front and rear up & stick it on axle stands if not then front / rear alternately. If you use a trolly jack under the normal jack points where do axle stands go?

Thanks in advance

Use the rear diff for jacking, can't remember where the front is.

not sure about new models, but on classics there is a heavy duty plate under the engine (black with 4 solid bolts in it). There maybe the same jacking plate on your car.

Make sure you use some wood to protect the metal work.

Looking at the pics on the Scoobymods site I personally wouldn't sit an axle stand under the sills as they will probably bend out of shape.

Thanks for that help guys.

Having looked under my car there is a huge plastic undertray, i'll have to see how it comes out, if it does?? to reveal the front jacking plate.

The jacking plate is just behind the plastic tray - well it is on my MY99 car. Have a better look first.

Sorry to dig up old bones here but I've been mooching under the car and saw some areas which seem strong enough to support the jack..... wondered if you have any comments:

Didn't like the look of those points to support the car.

Stick to the plate at the front as described before and the rear diff for jacking IMO the best place, worked for me. Then support under the cills jacking points with good axle stands.
