Default Scoobynet saved me £300!

After I had been a an airfield day in November I came away with major shuddering when using the brakes. (Godspeed 335mm conversion)

The track layout at the airfield day included two heavy braking zones from 110mph down to 30mph twice.

I guessed that I had warped my brakes so chaged to my spare set until I could afford to buy new ones. Whilst browsing through Scoobynet the other day I saw Dave A post about warped brakes syndrome, one of the replies from ***** mentioned that the problem that Dave was having could be related to build up of crap on the discs.

I remember seeing a lot of crap in the grooves on mine so I whipped one out (the brake disc that is!) and ground out the channels using a dremmel then smoothed down the edges with emory paper. Changed this one over when I got home and.....

....Result = No wobble, shuddering or shaking of anykind, Woo hOO!!

Thank you ***** for your post you have saved me almost £300 now I dont have to purchase new discs (well not yet anyway)

Just goes to show what a great place with valuble info Scoobynet can be.

Neil

I will post up some before and after pic later as I am doing the second disc at lunchtime.
