Default rear drum/disk on leggy, handbrake problem

Hi all,

My dad has a legacy 2.5Ltr 4 cam auto ,r reg, he's got a problem with the handbrake not holding. We have adjusted the cable upto the max at the lever end, still wont hold, can you adjust the shoes on the rear drum??? It's a drum/disc config so the rear shoes are for the handbrake only, I presume!!

Cheers

Lea

if you look at the back of the "drum" from under the car (suitably supported, etc.!!) - you will see a little grommet about 1" long...........prise out and behind it is a cog to adjust the h/brake shoes, tighten until they just grip the wheel and then back-off a turn.......................
should sort the job
