will 330discs go in 2 17inchs?
as the title says .
just got some subaru 4pots and wondered if a 330 disc fits in to an oe 17inch wheel? if not wot size as i intend 2 get some brackets made to fit.
has anyone done this rather than buying the godspeed conversion cos i intend 2 get some ap racing discs cos i have used before on another car so i wonder if this poss. any help will b most grateful.

The kit that prodrive do is 330mm for 17" wheels but you'll need extensions for the calipers.
My budget wouldn't stretch that far but there's plenty about who've done it. It would also help if you say what year car you have too.

depends on a number of things:-
disc thickness - you may need to add spacers to the Subaru 4-pots
disc hub - it's thickness will determine where the caliper sits in relation to the alloy
I don't think anyone has run AP 330mm discs with std Subaru 4-pots. you lose some benfits of the larger disc surface by using a caliper/pad designed for a smaller disc.
depends on how cheap you can get brackets made up and how much effort is involved getting the measurements worked out.

thought so. in theory 330mm under 17's is fine, but all the kits I've seen are full replacements - Prodrive/Alcon, Brembo, AP, etc..
The only other ones have been the Godspeed kit.
Perhaps Ian has a alloy bell for his kit that will take AP discs rather than his own?
If I had £1500 to spend it would be AP's all the way.

I don't think I could justify spending that much on new anchors - my driving doesn't warrant that level of expenditure but I doubt the increased performance is relative to what they actually cost.
In the middle of upgrading my own brakes and I looked at going for 330mm discs but more from the aesthetics side, 294mm look a bit small behind 17" wheels. Extensions for Calipers also seemed to be rediculously expensive for what is basically 2 lengths of metal. In the end plumped for Braided hoes, AP racing fluid, Godspeed discs & Red stuff pads - might also go for a brake support bracket too though.

The expenditure is not just for driving like a nutter. The AP's give so much feel and confidence that they are an absolute joy to use everyday, and I occasionally find myself braking for no other reason than to experience their awesome power.

I got a StopTech 330 mm kit on my MY03 WRX, and they too are awesome.
Use ceramic compound pads too, so pull up like mad.
Cheaper than AP's but similar performance. Also well up for track use too.
